Discovering our roots IV LO visiting Elliniko Lykeio Monaxou
Constantin Carathéodory (Greece) in Munich, Germany
23rd-29 th November 2025

Taking part in Erasmus+ projects is one of the adventures everybody would like to experience. And so would we. Our dream came true on 23rd November 2025 when the five of us Maja Blumensztajn, Oliwia Rogala, Oliwia Dziurla, Dominik Woźniak and Feliks Makowski with our teachers Iwona Szybowicz and Elżbieta Łuczak, set off to Munich, Germany. And here it is how it was. Joining our friends for the Erasmus+ mobility in Munich was a great adventure for all of us. The trip helped us understand what inclusion really means, meet new people, learn in creative ways and see places we had only heard about before. Each day brought something different and exciting.

Day 1 – First impressions and new friendships
We started our mobility with a warm welcome at the host school. The teachers introduced the whole program and then we took part in fun activities that made it much easier to mix with students from other countries. Later we walked around the school and learned about the upcoming tasks, including a photo contest connected with the topic of migration.
By the end of the day we already felt more comfortable and ready for the rest of the week.

Day 2 – Exploring the city
On Tuesday we went to explore Munich. Walking through the city centre, we saw many interesting places, listened to stories about the city and took lots of photos for our challenge of capturing the “rhythm” of Munich. It was cool to see how lively and diverse the city is. In the evening our photos were uploaded for voting, so the excitement continued even after the sightseeing.

Day 3 – Learning, creativity and teamwork
The next day we focused on human rights and the problem of bullying and cyberbullying. The discussions made us think about how our behaviour affects others and how important it is to react when something is wrong. We also had our first experience with Greek language lessons, which was fun and different. In the afternoon we joined a creative workshop where we painted T-shirts and bags. Working together and sharing ideas helped us bond even more.

Day 4 – A powerful lesson from history
Thursday took us to Nuremberg. Visiting the Nuremberg Trials Memorial was a very strong experience. Standing in the courtroom where the historic trials took place made everything we had learned about World War II feel much more real. After such a serious visit, spending some time at the Christmas Market brought back the festive spirit and allowed us to enjoy the local culture.

Day 5 – Last moments together
The final day was focused on online safety and the impact of cyberbullying. We shared our opinions, watched examples and talked about how we can stay safe on the Internet. After that, the results of the photo contest were announced. The project ended with a certificate ceremony, which was both happy and sad - happy because we achieved a lot, and sad because we had to say goodbye.

What this trip gave us
During this mobility we:
• expanded our knowledge about inclusion and equality
• learned how to stay safe online
• made new international friends
• developed our communication and teamwork skills
• discovered Munich and Nuremberg
• created art together and took part in a photo contest

Our final thoughts
This Erasmus+ project wasn’t just a school trip - it was an experience that changed the way we look at the world and at each other. We learned to appreciate diversity, to be open-minded and to work together despite differences.
We came back home with new memories, new skills and lots of inspiration for the future.
